artist based in Paris; somatic practitioner, and Art manager for the Braga International Dance Festival.
As a choreographer, he has created
several performances and installation works, integrating different media
such as video, sound, text and visual arts.
He has been awarded grants /
fellowships from Gulbenkian Foundation / Luso-American Foundation / Centro Nacional Cultura
for artistic research at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, The Trisha Brown
Dance Company and Film&Video Arts in New York. He had participated in various projects with artists such as Vera Mantero, Olga Mesa, Meredith Monk,
Lidia Martinez, Jack Shamblin, Robert Flynt, Eva Mueller, Iris Brosch. On Video with Laurent Simões, José Budha and Play Bleu. Invited artist for the project GUELRA
by Arte Total and GNRation, Braga - artistic residency on contemporary dance research.
Several of his works are now stored as part of the Digital Performance Archive (DPA) and his work has been discussed in the book "Digital Performance" by Steve Dixon, MIT press 2007.
His work has been performed in such venues as the Dance Theatre Workshop, La Mama Theatre and at the Gallery Location One in New York, the Mousonturm in Frankfurt, the Belém Cultural Center in Lisbon, Mi.mo Museum in Leiria, TATE Gallery in London, André Gouveia Artspace, and at Gulbenkian Foundation in Paris.
